What to do in Ballito

With so many people choosing self catering accommodation in Ballito, knowing where to shop is sometimes planned well in advance. The expansion of Ballito in recent years also means that there are now a lot more places to spend your money.

Ballito Lifestyle Centre – Conveniently situated on Ballito Drive near the N2 on/offramp, the Lifestyle Centre is one of the largest shopping complexes in the area. It offers outdoor shopping with an excellent mix of stores. There is Spar and Woolworths for groceries, a great selection of restaurants, clothing stores and décor outlets. There is also a large Mica. The Centre is wheelchair friendly and parking is free. You can see the complete store selection on their website.

Ballito Junction – Also on Ballito Drive is Ballito Junction, also one of the larger shopping complexes in Ballito. The shopping on offer is both under cover and outdoor. This is also a one stop shop when it comes to shopping, with most store types represented. Of note is Dischem, the largest pharmacy in the area.  The Jucntion is family-focused with excellent facilities for babies and small children. Ballito Bay Mall – This mall is located just off Ballito Drive, behind the Ballito Junction. There are forty five businesses in the under cover Mall, including restaurants, take-away outlets, an estate agent, computer and cell phone shops, a pool shop, stationary franchise, jewelers, soft furnishing, beauty salons, an orchid specialist, clothing outlets for all tastes and major retailers Woolworths, Game and Checkers. The Mall has had some controversy in the past, but is under new Management since July 2013.

The Quarter Boutique Shopping Centre – This is a multilevel shopping complex located On Stewart Drive near the N2. There is a piazza-style food quarter and other retail and services include beauty therapy, a professional hair salon, a barber, a photographic studio, a dance studio and fashion boutiques.

There are also many smaller shopping centres in and around Ballito, especially closer to the beachfront. Shopping in Ballito is safe, entertaining and varied, so remember to bring your credit cards!
